The big release of stage two of this blog deserves a celebration. Though you cannot see the fireworks exploding in numerous colors above your head and you cannot smell the fireworks reek of gunpowder, there is actually a celebration going on. As a mentor to me, Elisabet Norin once said,

An äggakaka now and then makes all the difference.

After an amazing four days in a part of Sweden called Österlen and a unhumanly large portion of Äggakaka, the writing course has left it’s mark on all the participants. This region is quite special, from the landscape, food, buildings and the dialect, to everything in between. I can describe it- imagine a 55 year old woman, that has her most strenuous work outs doing a sudoku propped up in her bed. If she holds her arm straight out, her soft, curved but very shaky and jello like wiggly upper arm flab- That is Österlen. Could the setting for a writing coursebe better? We arrived on a Thursday afternoon in from the pouring icy rain, 5 people entered a dim pub at Brösarp Gästgivari, scared and a dab unconfident, their first time at a writing course, we sat next to the fireplace and warmed ourselves. On Sunday they left filled with magic, confidence and some deep friendships had developed. I can’t explain what happened in words that can help you to understand the euphoria I feel now. All the ingredients were in place for the magic to be stewed in us.

This new and improved atyoursenses blog is simply… more inspired. Some experiences are so pivotal that they even affect everyone around you, possibly even your blog readers.

Happy Reading and remember to be open so you don’t miss any of the many magical moments ahead of you.

  1. The most mindful dish ever tasted by a bunch of people! Thanks a tremendous lot, Caro! :-)

  2. Hey Carolyn, I think your blog is awesome and I especially like this post. More inspired … YES!

I’m looking forward to all your new posts. I especially appreciate that you share your posts on Facebook – I see those reminders when I’m relaxing and browsing my friends’ posts, just when I’m in the right mood to visit here.

And I haven’t told you this yet, but “at your senses” is a big part of the inspiration for my own blog, which I started a couple months after you began this.

    Thanks cuz:)
